Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 Horde Mode Maps Guide

Learn what Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 Horde Mode maps are confirmed or preview-only, including routes, waves, defense points, and extraction details.

The currently collected Horde Mode maps are Crash Landed, Blacksite, and Crusher. The preview describes rounds changing every five waves, a typical run lasting about 12–15 minutes, and a choice to extract or continue for greater rewards. These map names and flow details come from a pre-release preview, so final launch routes, wave compositions, and optimal defense points are unverified.

Confirmed map names from the preview

The preview names three environments: Crash Landed, Blacksite, and Crusher. It also mentions a third Horde environment being polished in the Day-1 notes as “Horde Map 03,” but the patch note does not identify that map by name. Do not turn that note into a fourth map without an authoritative name.

This table separates a named preview map from a patch reference. It prevents a common wiki error: treating a preview’s map list and an internal patch label as if they were the same complete launch catalog.

Wave structure and pacing

The preview says that the round changes every five waves and that a typical run takes around 12–15 minutes. It also describes enemy factions as random, which means a route that feels safe against one group may be pressured differently in another run. Exact wave counts, spawn locations, elite timing, and difficulty modifiers are unverified.

Because the game is now released, the next update should come from in-game observation or an official post-launch source. Record the difficulty, map, wave number, faction, objective, and team size for every screenshot or clip. A single preview run is not enough to publish a definitive wave table.

How to map a defense point

Look for the area where the objective, cover, ammo, and retreat path meet. The collected preview mentions vending machines and finite ammo boxes that eventually respawn, but it does not provide a verified route diagram for any map. Therefore, label each suggested hold location as a player observation until multiple live runs confirm it.

A good map page should show the approach route, fallback route, revive sightlines, turret placement, and extraction direction. It should also explain what changes when enemies arrive from a different faction. Those exact coordinates and optimal placements remain unverified for all three named maps.

Extraction and continuing

At the end of a reward decision, the preview presents an extract-or-continue choice. Continuing is described as offering greater rewards, but it also increases exposure to later waves and resource pressure. The precise reward curve, extraction trigger, and failure penalty are covered separately on the Horde Mode rewards page and remain unverified where the source does not give a number.

The safest route decision is therefore situational. Extract when the squad has completed its goal and resources or revives are low; continue only when the team can hold another declared test segment. This is practical guidance based on the described risk loop, not a claim about a hidden reward formula.

What to verify after launch

For each map, capture a clean top-down or annotated route, then list wave transitions and defense points by difficulty. Confirm whether map geometry, ammo respawns, vending machines, and extraction positions change between modes. Keep preview observations visibly separate from launch-confirmed facts.

The page should be updated when official patch notes name Map 03, when an in-game run confirms the three names, or when a developer guide documents routes. Until then, use the preview as a planning aid and mark all exact spawn and route claims unverified.

The map and pacing details come from AvP Galaxy’s Horde Mode preview, while the launch environment reference comes from Daybreak’s Day-1 patch notes. The corresponding preview video is embedded above for context; it is not treated as a substitute for a verified launch map table.
